Research Interests 

1. Gene engineering of plant and biocontrol agents for plant protection. 

2. Molecular mechanisms of host plant and pathogen interactions with emphasis on isolation of pathogen pathogenicity factors and host susceptibility factors. 

3. Nonhost resistance mechanisms and mainly to explore the incompatibility through lack of essential factors, including lack of recognition between host and pathogen; lack of host receptors and sensitive sites for toxins; and lack of essential substances for the pathogen.
